Hello Harbor Soccer Families -
We are entering an exciting time for Harbor Soccer as the 2013/14 season wraps up and the 2014/15 season begins. With this transition, we wanted to take a moment to update you on a few key items as well as upcoming events.
First, please take a moment to click on link and read this letter from HSC President Keith Schembs regarding the most recent updates on merger talks with Westsound FC. We hope it helps answer many questions we have fielded over the past few months.
Second, Harbor Premier Tryout dates and times have been announced and are linked below. Please take a moment to pre-register for tryouts as it will make the check-in process much easier. 2014/15 coaching staff has also been announced and posted.
Finally, information regarding our recreational programs (Academy, Club, Micro) has been posted to the website. Registration will be opening shortly for these programs and we are excited for another great year.

2014/15 Harbor Premier Tryout Schedule
HARBOR PREMIER 2014-15 Tryout Schedule
Below are the scheduled tryouts dates by gender and age group. Tryouts are a two day event, if for any reason you cannot make both days, please advise staff at check-in. A third session will only take place if needed. Please refer to 2014/15 player age chart for proper age group placement.
Registration is open for all age groups. Click here to register today. Pre-registration does not obligate you to anything, however, it will save substancial time at check-in. Walk up player registration will be available prior to each tryout session. Please keep in mind that a parent signature is required. All tryouts will be held at Gig Harbor HS Turf, 5101 Rosedale Street NW, Gig Harbor 98335.
Please arrive 15 minutes before your age group is scheduled to begin. Please refrain from wearing any prior club designated clothing. This includes returning Harbor Premier players.
Harbor Premier 2014/15 Coaching Staff
Harbor is excited to announce our 2014/15 Premier coaching staff! We are confident that this years team of coaches is one of the strongest in the state of Washington. Led by Director of Coaching Neil Megson, the staff will feature 3 USSF A licensed coaches and, for the first time, will have both an Assistant Director of Coaching and a Youth Director to help oversee the development of the club. Continuing on the success of the 2013/14 season, Harbor will have 4 RCL Division 1 teams and another 7 RCL Division 2 teams knocking on the door for promotion. We are confident that Harbor Soccer will continue on its current upward trend through the knowledge, dedication and expertise of the 2014/15 Premier staff.

Harbor Spring 2014 Jr Academy a Huge Success!
3 Boys teams and 1 Girls team has been training twice a week and playing each weeked at venues throughout Western Washington since early in February. The feedback and excitment has been fantastic. Thanks for Coach Shawn, Coach Bruce, Coach Kerry & Coach Bizhan for all of their awesome work with these youngsters. 2 weekend events remain and we look forward to seeing more action on the pitch! Great Job!
2014 Harbor Spring Jr Academy Season
Are you ready for your youth soccer player to move to the next level? Would you like them to play at the highest level of soccer in the state of Washington?
Harbor Soccer is excited to announce the 2014 Spring Jr Academy Season! Beginning in February, all Academy age players (U7/U8/U9) will have the opportunity to continue from Harbor Winter Training into a spring season against the best competition including Crossfire Premier, Eastside FC, Pac NW, Washington Premier FC,, Federal Way FC , Blackhills FC & Rainer Valley Slammers. Teams will be formed at the end of January and all players will be placed on a team as this is a no cut/no tryouts format. We will train twice per week and play on weekends (Girls- Saturday & Boys – Sunday), February through April for a total of approximately 10 games.
Focus will continue to be on individual skills and ball mastery. All games will be in a 6v6 jamboree format allowing for maximum playtime and touches on the ball.
Team Formation: Sunday January 26th 9:30am-11am
Where: Gig Harbor High School Turf
Program Timeline: training will begin 1st week of February and continue through April. Games will be on weekends, mid-February thru April
Cost: $395 – includes uniform shirt, field and referee fees, coaching and league fees, and all training sessions (payment plan available)

About Elite Player Development (EPD)
The Elite Player Development (EPD) program, presented by Chipotle, is an umbrella program combining all of our current development curriculums as well as additional opportunities from our soccer community.
Comprised of nearly 430 extremely talented players, a highly qualified coaching staff and administrative team, the Elite Player Development program is designed as the training ground for Washington’s most elite youth soccer players. Our Elite Player Development coaching staff will strategically hand-select these elite youth soccer players and the best development opportunities possible to create a complete package that best suits our players’ needs.
Through the Elite Player Development program, we holistically develop players who will have the technical and tactical skills combined with the creativity to compete at the highest levels. The Washington Youth Soccer / Sounders FC Elite Player Development program will develop male and female elite athletes 9-17 years old from all communities across our state.

Congratulations to Harbor Premier B97 GK Ethan Martin
Congratulations to Ethan Martin, GK for the Harbor Premier B97 team, as he has been selected to travel and compete for the state of Washington at the US Youth Soccer Region IV 2014 ODP Championships January 9-12 in Phoenix, Arizona.
The Washington Boys ’97 team will be competing against Alaska, Arizona, Cal South, Idaho, New Mexico & Utah. You can follow all the action by clicking on the link below.
