The Foundation of the Harbor Player Pathway
The Harbor Rising Academy represents the evolution of our Junior Academy and U8 RCL programming—designed with a clear purpose: to provide a more developmentally appropriate, structured, and inspiring environment for our youngest players.
Built around a modern 5v5 model, this program maximizes touches on the ball, decision-making opportunities, and overall engagement in the game. Our focus is simple—develop confident, creative, and technically strong players who love coming to the field every day.
At Harbor Soccer Club, we believe the early years are critical. Harbor Rising Academy is intentionally designed to bridge the gap between recreational soccer and our Premier pathway, while still keeping the game fun, fast, and player-centered.
In addition, Harbor Soccer Club is proud to be spearheading positive change within the South Puget Sound soccer landscape—working to bring more clubs together, create more local playing opportunities, and deliver a better overall experience for families. This initiative will provide increased variety in competition, improved structure, and reduced travel, all while maintaining a high standard of development.
Program Highlights:
- Two professional training sessions per week led by Harbor Premier coaching staff
- Developmentally appropriate 5v5 game model (including GK)
- Use of 6.5ft x 12ft goals to better replicate realistic shooting and finishing scenarios
- One Summer Jamboree (June)
- Participation in the Harbor Cup Tournament (August)
- Potential additional summer event in July
- Increased local play opportunities through South Puget Sound club collaboration
