Dear Harbor Soccer Community
Harbor Soccer Club has been working intentionally toward a clear long-term goal: creating sustainable pathways that allow our players to compete at higher regional and national levels, while staying rooted in the values that make Harbor a true community club.
As part of that vision, we have applied to regional platforms: Elite Academy (EA) on the boys side, and Girls Academy (GA) and GA Aspire on the girls side. We believe these platforms are an important extension of our player development pathway, providing opportunities for growth while helping ensure Harbor’s long-term strength and stability.
The competitive landscape within RCL has continued to evolve. Today, 16 of the 21 RCL clubs offer a regional platform as part of their pathway. As many of our peer clubs expand these opportunities for their players, we believe it is important for Harbor to move forward in a way that reflects both the direction of the league and our responsibility to the families we serve.
While Harbor Soccer Club is committed to growth and maintaining strong competitive standards, we remain equally committed to our community values. Balancing opportunity with accessibility, and ambition with belonging, is central to who we are as a club.
One of the biggest challenges to gaining entry into these platforms is having fully formed teams at every age group, especially at the oldest age level, which is traditionally the most difficult group to roster.
To reflect that commitment, the Board and leadership team have approved a community-focused initiative:
Harbor Soccer Club will waive the registration fee for our U19 GA and EA age-group teams.
This decision is intentional and values-driven:
It is a strategic step to help us meet the structural requirements of regional platforms and needing a team at every age group
It supports players who have grown up in our community and want one final season together
It represents Harbor giving back by offering a meaningful final experience to players who have given so much to the club
This initiative represents an investment in the future of Harbor Soccer Club and a potential long-term opportunity for how we support our oldest players. Our goal is to honor their commitment to Harbor while strengthening the foundation of the club as a whole. We believe this approach reflects who we are as a club: community-first, development-focused, and willing to think creatively in support of our players.
Regardless of platform placement for the upcoming season, Harbor Soccer Club will waive the registration fee for our U19 RCL Green teams should GA or EA participation not occur.
This initiative will be reviewed annually to ensure long-term financial sustainability, with the goal of establishing it as a lasting Harbor tradition and a meaningful way of giving back to our players and families, as long as it remains financially viable.
We appreciate your trust, your support, and your belief in Harbor Soccer Club’s future. As always, we are committed to open communication and welcome questions from our membership. Questions can be sent to [email protected]
Thank you for being part of the Harbor community.
