At Harbor Soccer Club, we believe the younger years are where a player’s love for the game really takes shape. Each fall, we see so many kids finish the season energized, improving fast, and wanting to keep going. To support that momentum, we’ve built a pathway that gives motivated players the chance to train in a more focused environment while still keeping the positive, community-first approach Harbor is known for.

One of the most important things we can do for young athletes is make sure they are placed in an environment that matches their current stage of development. When kids train with the right level of challenge and support, their confidence grows, their skills sharpen, and the game becomes even more fun.

To help us get to know each player, Harbor SC will host a Spring Select Evaluation Day on Sunday, December 12th at Sehmel Park.
Player check-in begins at 6:45 PM, and the evaluation will run from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM . Depending on registration numbers, this window may shift slightly. Families will receive placement decisions the following week along with steps to complete registration. Spring training officially begins in January 2026.

Harbor SC Spring Select Development Program

Our Spring Select Development Program is designed for players who want more than the typical recreational season but are not currently playing in RCL. It blends competitive training with Harbor’s core goal: developing confident, capable players in a supportive environment.

The program includes:

• Two practices per week starting in January

• Six-game season in the North Puget Sound League (NPSL)

• Games beginning in February and finishing in late March or early April

• Open to Boys and Girls U9–U12 (2017–2014 birth years)

This is an ideal option for players looking to challenge themselves, grow their technical and tactical skills, and experience a higher level of play without leaving the Harbor community.

If you’d like your child to be considered for the Spring Select Development Program, please register for the December 12th Evaluation Day by logging in to your account and selecting the SDP program. There is no cost to attend.

Our coaching staff will be available on site to answer questions, talk through development pathways, and support families in determining the best next step for their player.
